Dr. William Melek is the Director of Research at Alpha IT, an Associate Professor and Director of Mechatronics in the department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario.
A key field of exploration for Dr. Melek involves Intelligent System Modeling and Control. His work at Alpha is particularly related to his specialty in Bioinformatics, which includes the study of medical decision-support systems, resources scheduling and optimization.
