Applying information technology to healthcare is nothing new to Alpha. Building on our company’s early success owning and operating medical laboratories in Toronto, we saw the opportunity in the early 1980s to combine our extensive medical expertise with a growing IT capability in order to enhance patient care and improve physician productivity.
In 2000, Alpha established a new division of the company, Alpha Global IT Inc., specifically tasked with developing innovative information technology applications and solutions that advance healthcare for all.
We continue to leverage our experience operating our own managed-care clinics, medical labs, diagnostic imaging facilities and an active R&D department to stay abreast of the needs of today’s healthcare practitioners.
